Frozen Tears
Tears stung her cheeks as they fell after the children walked out the front door to spend the rest of Christmas day with their father. The miracle of the holiday was gone once again with loss of her loved ones who walked out of her life years ago. She wondered if they thought of her when they opened a jar of pickles or watched Scrooge on Christmas Eve. Her faith was forever lost in the abandonment of their love.
“Twelve more months and Christmas will be here again,” she whispered to herself as she looked out the window at the falling snowflakes.

This happens all too often these days. This truly captures that angst.
Very sad.
We can get caught up in the hype of Christmas and forget about those who are suffering with a loss or poverty.
