Freedom
Skin stretching tight
disguising emotions
invisible to all
Tears trapped inside
bursting seams, strangled
by loss and loneliness
Skin peeling back
revealing yesterday
tired and exposed
Tears falling free,
releasing pain and guilt
freedom to love myself
This is my second attempt at a Cinquain prompted by Totally Optional Prompts. It reflects my struggles with finding the right words to express myself and my commitment to keep writing even when the words have a hard time making it to the keyboard or paper.

My first submission is an attempt at a Cinquain. I was very impressed reading some fellow writers cinquain poems so was inspired to write one myself.
Cherries
sweet chocolate
craving, dripping, sticky
